Finally.....

I have finally put a couple of recipes on to the recipe blog........ I have so many that I have tried and so many that I have found and want to try and so I will slowly but surely get them added.

New Blog..

I have started a new blog of recipes. I started this blog just because I have so many cookbooks and it seems like I am still looking for something to cook, therefore these are some recipes that I have tried and we seem to like. I hope that you can benefit from this as well. I am always looking for new things to try and cook as well.. If you have any recipes that you would like and would like share please pass them on....

What a weekend...

What a long weekend... We went over to Lapoint and helped mom and dad around their house and also grandpa and grandma Allred's house.. I helped mom can some peach jam, and then we went over and helped and spent some time with grandma and grandpa at the Care Center. Meanwhile George, dad and Chase got a new porch built and put on at grandma and grandpa's house... It looks so good.

Grandma is doing okay she still has good and bad days.. She loves to have visitors and so we try and stop by as much as we can.

Grandpa is doing okay as well he also has good and bad days.. He really enjoys company and you can always find grandpa at grandma's side. He is telling us all kinds of stories when we visit it is so much fun to listen to them.

Where were you??

I can't believe that is has been 7 years since 9-11. I was thinking alot today as I do every September 11 of the terrifying day. I was at home getting ready for work when I got the phone call.... George was already at work. He called me and said that I had to turn the tv on right now. I went into the front room and every channel had the twin towers on with a plane sticking out of the side and people running everywhere, and then...... the second plane hit into the other one... my heart dropped. I was glued to the tv. I then finished getting dress and dreaded going to work, I worked at Smith's in the Service Booth that had a tv and we turned it on and everyone gathered and watched as the towers fell. All I could do was think of all the families that just lost their loved ones... I again am reminded of everything that I have and am so thankful for everything... I love my family very much and am thankful that I didn't have any family in any of or around the planes, everyone was safe.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY

It was grandpa's 83 birthday today. The family got together and had some ice cream along with mom great cake (made from scratch, the best cake I have ever had) It so nice to spend the evening with grandma and grandpa. We love you and hope you had a great day!!!


I love this photo.. You can see the love that Grandma and Grandpa have for each other. They also just celebrated their 62nd anniversary.. I am honored that we were married the same day as their anniversary.

A co-worker of George's found this Basset Hound walking along the highway and so George and I decided to give it a home. (hopefully a permament home). We are calling her Missy, she and the other two dogs are still trying to get use to each other. She is really cute!!!

9 YEARS AND COUNTING!!!

New Friends

Hanging Out

My niece came over to hang out and she really loves to get her picture taken so yes we had to take pictures of us. Her favorite of course is sticking her tounge out! The other thing that is so funny is she would say George's name and then hide. She is growning up so much. Thanks Jake and Angie for letting hang out with her!
